Alice Boyd is the president of Bailey Boyd Associates, Inc. Founded in 1989, BBA has funded and implemented projects in excess of $140 million and has one of the strongest records for grant writing and administration in Massachusetts.

Previous to starting Bailey Boyd Associates, Alice was the first Executive Director of the Lower Cape Cod Community Development Corporation, and founder of The Resource Inc., where she served as President and Executive Director for nine years. Alice was also one of the founders of The Children's Place, a family resource center and childcare facility in Eastham, MA. Through her efforts, funding was secured to construct the facility and fund childcare vouchers for families in eight towns.

Most of Alice's work focuses on affordable housing and economic development, always with an emphasis on sustainability. In her free time, Alice has served on the Dennis Finance Committee, served as Chairman of the Dennis-Yarmouth Regional School Committee, as Vice President of the Community Foundation of Cape Cod an officer on the Harwich Ecumenical Council for the Homeless and the Cape Cod Center for Sustainability. She is also an appointee to the Cape Cod Economic Development Council.  Alice completed the Massachusetts Certified Public Procurement program and has served on numerous non-profit and foundation boards. Alice resides in West Harwich and in the Berkshires.

Leedara Zola is Bailey Boyd Associate's Housing Specialist. She is chiefly responsible for BBA's planning projects, and works in close collaboration with Alice Boyd on implementation and funding in the housing arena.

Prior to joining Bailey Boyd Associates Leedara served as Executive Director of the Nantucket Housing Office, a private non-profit housing organization. At the Nantucket Housing Office Leedara focused on a variety of housing programs, including a rental program, a middle income homeownership program, a housing rehabilitation program, a house-recycling program and an advocacy arm. Leedara pioneered the Housing Office's innovative middle income home-ownership program, working with attorneys and legislators, securing needed laws and creating the program framework necessary. Leedara is also a certified HomeBuyer Education instructor.

Leedara comes to Bailey Boyd with a background in business and law (both a JD and an MBA), and brings this focus and precision to her housing projects. She grew up on Nantucket and has a first-hand understanding of the Commonwealth's most severe housing crisis. She currently splits her time between her Nantucket office and BBA's Harwich office.

Cassie Boyd Marsh is a community development consultant with experience in program development and larger grants. Before joining BBA on a full time basis, Cassie worked in London for Keystone Accountability, a non-profit organization specializing in accountability and social change. Cassie managed Keystone's finances and provided program support for international business development and communications projects, reporting directly to the Executive Director. While Cassie was at Keystone, the organization worked with the Nelson Mandela Foundation, the Hewlett Foundation and received a large grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Previously Cassie was employed by U.S. News and World Report and provided consultant services to Bailey Boyd Associates. Cassie completed her Masters in International Management from King's College in London and her BA in Sociology and Women's Studies from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. Cassie manages BBA's Boston area office.

John Lipman is a land-use planning and smart-growth specialist with extensive experience in government and private-sector project management. John is President of Lipman Development Strategies LLC, a firm specializing in planning, permitting and project management. He served nine years as Chief Planner and Deputy Director of the Cape Cod Commission, working to protect Cape Cod’s natural resources through comprehensive regional planning, assistance to local governments, and the promotion of smart growth principles. Prior to that, John served three years as the Director of Growth Planning for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs, coordinating smart growth policies among state agencies. He also served three years as the Maryland Director of the Chesapeake Bay Commission, a multi-state legislative advisory group dedicated to protecting and restoring the Chesapeake Bay.

John comes to Bailey Boyd with a B.A. from Bates College, an M.B.A from Boston University, and a Masters in Public Policy from University of Maryland.
